On December 11, 2023, local time, Talesun Photovoltaic was invited to attend the Second Canadian Agrivoltaics Forum (Agrivoltaics Canada). The forum focused on exploring whether the integration of photovoltaic technology with agriculture can boost incomes for Canadian farmers and enhance the large-scale production of crops. As the sole Chinese PV company invited, Mr. Qu Xinyu, Sales Manager for the U.S. and Canada, presented numerous successful case studies from Talesun recent efforts in product R&D and the widespread adoption of agrivoltaic models worldwide, drawing significant attention from attendees. During the event, several participants posed questions.

As the sole Chinese photovoltaic company invited to attend, Mr. Qu Xinyu, Sales Manager for the Americas, presented at the conference a wealth of successful case studies demonstrating Talesun recent achievements in product R&D and the widespread adoption of innovative business models in the global agrivoltaics sector, drawing keen attention from the attendees.
At the forum, a guest asked about the current state of agrivoltaics in China. Mr. Qu Xinyu stated: “Agrivoltaic technology in China has reached a relatively mature stage. From its initial government‑driven phase to the gradual integration and optimization of regional resources, the synergy between science and agriculture, and the establishment of a virtuous cycle through scaled production, it has now entered a new era of upgrading and transformation. Agrivoltaics has evolved from passive adoption to proactive demand, which clearly demonstrates that this sector is delivering tangible, improved benefits to farmers. We stand ready to collaborate closely with experts from all fields—biologists, climatologists, technologists, and others—to contribute our expertise to the development of agrivoltaics in Canada.”
