Recently, the National Intellectual Property Administration announced the results of the 2023 evaluation for National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprises and Demonstration Enterprises. Suzhou Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Talesun Photovoltaic”) has been recognized as a National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise.
“National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise” refers to a company that, within the key industrial sectors prioritized by national and local intellectual property authorities, possesses independent intellectual property capabilities, actively engages in the protection and utilization of intellectual property, has established a comprehensive intellectual property management system and mechanisms, and demonstrates overall strength in the field of intellectual property. Talesun Photovoltaic’s recognition this time marks a new milestone in its innovation and intellectual property efforts.
Talesun Photovoltaic places great emphasis on intellectual property management. In recent years, through standardized IP management, the company has achieved significant breakthroughs in IP protection, enhanced the utilization of IP‑related information, refined its internal IP management and protection systems, and elevated the strategic importance of IP within the organization. In 2016, the company obtained ISO 50500 certification for intellectual property management, establishing a comprehensive IP management framework and setting up an organizational structure led by the president to oversee IP operations. This framework spans multiple departments, including R&D, procurement, production, sales, and human resources, and is supported by a suite of policies and procedures—such as the “IP Management Manual,” the “Patent Management Measures,” and the “Trademark Management and Protection Measures”—as well as a dedicated IP management department. Over the past few years, the company has filed more than 600 patent applications, with 96 invention patents and 10 PCT patents now granted. In 2017, it was recognized as a National-Level Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise; in 2018 and 2019, it received the China Patent Award for Excellence in consecutive years; and in 2022, it was honored with the Excellent Award at the inaugural Jiangsu Provincial Patent Awards.
Going forward, Talesun Photovoltaic will take its designation as a “National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise” as an opportunity to further strengthen end-to-end, all‑factor management of intellectual property. Guided by innovation, the company will prioritize high‑quality IP management, enhance service standards, product quality, and managerial capabilities, thereby providing robust support for the international expansion of the “China PV” brand.
