On August 31, China Huaneng’s first university‑level green campus distributed integrated energy system project was successfully connected to the grid. The Southeast University Green Campus Distributed Integrated Energy System project, undertaken by Jiangsu Company’s Jinling Power Plant, was officially launched on January 28, 2021. Located at Southeast University’s Jiulonghu Campus, the project has an installed capacity of 13.5 megawatts. Upon completion, it will annually supply the university with approximately 13.51 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity, equivalent to saving 4,119 tons of standard coal each year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 10,994 tons, sulfur dioxide by roughly 84 tons, nitrogen oxides by approximately 28 tons, and particulate matter by around 3,673 tons.
