On October 27, 2023, Mr. Somwang, Chairman of the Petroleum, Metals, and Mineral Smelting Committee of the Royal Institute of Engineering of Thailand, along with his delegation, paid a visit to Talesun Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Established in November 1943, the Royal Institute of Engineering of Thailand serves as a platform for sharing and promoting engineering and technological expertise, fostering local research and development in engineering, and advancing international collaboration. It also safeguards the rights of its members, enhances their professional knowledge, formulates, certifies, and publishes engineering standards, and provides sound, cutting-edge support and recommendations for the country’s economic and social development. During this visit, the delegation met with Talesun Thailand.

It also safeguards the rights of its members, enhances their professional knowledge, formulates, certifies, and publishes engineering standards, and provides sound, cutting-edge support and recommendations to underpin the nation’s economic and social development.
During this visit to Talesun Thai manufacturing facility, key members of the various committees conducted on-site tours of the battery and module production lines, engaged in in-depth discussions on the manufacturing processes, and exchanged views on future trends in the photovoltaic industry. They also discussed the sharing of research platforms and explored opportunities for further collaboration in technological development.
Talesun Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established in 2014 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Suzhou Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. The company currently employs nearly 1,000 people and operates a factory located in the Thai–Chinese Rayong Industrial Park in Rayong Province, Thailand, covering a total area of 156 mu. In response to industry trends and customer demands in target markets, the company has undergone three rounds of technological upgrades and now boasts an aggregate production capacity of approximately 3 GW for large‑size, high‑efficiency photovoltaic cells and modules.
Drawing on the parent company’s extensive expertise in solar cell and module manufacturing, the Thai subsidiary has adopted state-of-the-art technologies and processes to produce high-efficiency cells and modules. The production lines are fully automated, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing manufacturing costs. While pursuing superior efficiency, the company also maintains stringent quality standards and has successfully obtained numerous key certifications, including TUV, UL, CSA, TISI, and Colombian certification.
