From June 4 to 6, 2019, the 13th International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Exhibition (SNEC) was grandly held in Shanghai. With a steadfast focus on brand‑driven services and leading technological innovation, Talesun PV unveiled a range of high‑performance module products and BIPV solutions at this year’s event, leveraging cutting‑edge technologies such as large‑wafer formats, cast‑monocrystalline silicon, and heterojunction to set a new benchmark in module performance.

On the path toward high‑efficiency modules, Talesun Solar has taken the lead by unveiling five of its module products. The BISTAR series leverages 72 cells on 158.75 mm large‑format wafers, combined with a slicing process, significantly boosting module power output. Its polycrystalline PERC modules deliver up to 385 W, while monocrystalline PERC variants can reach as high as 410 W. Targeting the global market for high‑efficiency photovoltaics, Talesun has also introduced the Super Module, which packs 78 cells and surges to 430 W. As the industry’s most commercially viable 4.0‑generation PV module, the Super Module boasts easy mass production, low cost, high power output, and strong returns, offering a compelling advantage in levelized cost of electricity and setting a new benchmark for technological excellence.

High‑efficiency photovoltaic modules are more than just monocrystalline. Leveraging industry‑leading ingot‑grown monocrystalline technology, Talesun Photovoltaics’ PIPRO ingot‑grown monocrystalline modules deliver up to 390 W, achieving high power output while minimizing light‑induced degradation—combining the low cost of polycrystalline with the high efficiency of monocrystalline.

As a next‑generation battery technology highly sought after in the industry, Talesun Photovoltaic’s HDT modules have emerged as another highlight of this exhibition. Featuring a symmetrical design and encapsulated in double‑glass construction to enable bifacial power generation, Talesun 60‑cell HDT monocrystalline bifacial module delivers a maximum power output of 330 W—10% to 20% higher than conventional crystalline silicon modules. Moreover, it requires less land, cabling, and labor per unit of installed capacity, while its annual average energy yield can exceed that of monofacial modules by more than 18%, earning widespread acclaim from customers.

On the first day of the exhibition, Talesun Photovoltaic unveiled its new building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) solutions and the Hui series products under the theme “Building Green, Constructing Sustainability, Driving the Future,” showcasing for the first time the application of its modules in green, low‑energy‑consumption building scenarios.

At this BIPV product launch, Talesun Photovoltaic innovatively introduced three new PV‑W series modules—Huiyao, Huihao, and Huiding. These products seamlessly integrate photovoltaic modules with building materials, addressing diverse BIPV application scenarios and creating mutual value for both the PV and construction industries. Upon their release, they immediately won strong acclaim from on‑site distributors and the media.

The new Huiyao model combines beauty with durability, featuring crystalline silicon solar cells that replace traditional roof tiles. It boasts exceptional sealing performance, significantly extending its service life. The product incorporates high-transmittance curved glass and offers a wide range of color options. With its user-friendly, streamlined design, installation can be completed in just two hours, making it suitable for diverse architectural styles and application scenarios.

The new PV‑W series, Huihao, features a photovoltaic laminated glass design that replaces traditional glass curtain walls, meeting light transmittance requirements of 20% to 60%. The modules have passed China’s mandatory 3C certification and rigorous environmental tests at twice the IEC standard levels. With optional colored PVB interlayers, they are widely used in architectural curtain walls and skylights. For applications in carports, agricultural greenhouses, and other public spaces, the HuiDing product line employs a photovoltaic modular frame and laminated glass construction, offering easy installation and Class A fire‑resistance, with superior reliability compared to conventional modules.

At this press conference, industry leaders from Zhongyifeng Construction Group, the China Academy of Building Research, TÜV SÜD, Nanjing Nengfu Building Technology, and other organizations were invited to discuss the evolution of BIPV and jointly explore future trends in green, low‑energy buildings. Industry experts unanimously agree that, compared with conventional photovoltaic power plants, the Hui‑series BIPV products make optimal use of limited land resources, deliver greater value to customers, and create new growth drivers for the sector, with promising market prospects.

The advent of the era of grid parity has unlocked limitless possibilities for the application formats and efficiency gains of photovoltaic products. Guided by a development philosophy that prioritizes technological innovation and dedicated brand‑driven service, Talesun Photovoltaic’s high‑efficiency modules and BIPV‑based green, low‑energy building solutions will, taking this year’s SNEC as a platform, once again lead the PV industry and usher in a new era of large‑scale module deployment across diverse applications, “building” a brighter future for solar energy.
