Recently, Zhongli Talesun launched its FEATHER series of lightweight modules, which boast advantages in being lighter, higher‑performing, and smarter. The products have obtained TÜV Rheinland certification and made a striking debut at the 10th SNEC International Solar Energy Industry and Photovoltaic Engineering Exhibition (Shanghai) in 2016. By employing ultra‑thin glass, weight‑reduced frames, and a specialized module architecture, the FEATHER series achieves a significant reduction in module weight—approximately 26% lighter than conventional modules—thereby cutting transportation costs by roughly 15%. Moreover, the modules offer excellent load‑bearing capacity, withstanding wind pressures of up to 2,400 Pa.
Recently, Zhongli Talesun launched its lightweight module series—the FEATHER line—which boasts advantages of being “lighter,” “higher-performing,” and “smarter.” The series has obtained TÜV Rheinland certification and made a striking debut at the 10th SNEC International Solar Energy Industry and Photovoltaic Engineering Exhibition (Shanghai) in 2016. By employing ultra-thin glass, weight‑reduced frames, and a specialized module architecture, the FEATHER series achieves a significant reduction in module weight—approximately 26% lighter than conventional modules—thereby cutting transportation costs by roughly 15%. It also offers excellent load‑bearing capacity, withstanding wind loads of up to 2,400 Pa and snow loads of up to 5,400 Pa. Equipped with high‑efficiency cells and leveraging state‑of‑the‑art encapsulation technology, the FEATHER series delivers higher power output—about 4% greater than standard modules. Additionally, the modules feature intelligent junction boxes that provide optimal module matching, robust communication and monitoring capabilities, minimal power loss under shading conditions, and the ability to connect up to 30% more modules. The specific configuration of these features can be tailored to meet individual customer requirements.
Chen Jie, the company’s vice president, stated: “The FEATHER series modules have further expanded Zhongli Talesun presence in overseas markets. Zhongli Talesun has now fulfilled large‑scale overseas orders for FEATHER modules, with product performance and customer service receiving unanimous praise.”
