Zhongli Talesun successfully hosted the 2016 Autumn Meeting of the SEMI China Photovoltaic Standards Technical Committee.

On November 25, 2016, the SEMI China Photovoltaic Standards Technical Committee’s 2016 Autumn Meeting was successfully held in Changshu, hosted by SEMI and organized by Zhongli Talesun. Attending the meeting were Mr. Ju Long, President of SEMI China; Mr. Qi Faxin, Chief Analyst and Project Director of SEMI China; Dr. Ni Zhichun, Vice President of Zhongli Talesun; and Dr. Wei Qingzhu, Deputy Technical Director of Zhongli Talesun. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Li Zhixin, a core member of the committee, and brought together representatives from Zhongli Talesun, Poly Xinxin, Trina Solar, JA Solar, Yingli Group, Dalian Liancheng, Zhongneng Silicon Industry, Qixing Huachuang, Zhonglai Photovoltaic, Longji Silicon Materials, and other organizations.
On November 25, 2016, the SEMI China Photovoltaic Standards Technical Committee’s 2016 Autumn Meeting was successfully held in Changshu, hosted by SEMI and organized by Zhongli Talesun. Attending the meeting were Mr. Ju Long, President of SEMI China; Mr. Qi Faxin, Chief Analyst and Project Director of SEMI China; Dr. Ni Zhichun, Vice President of Zhongli Talesun; and Dr. Wei Qingzhu, Deputy Technical Director of Zhongli Talesun. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Li Zhixin, a core member of the committee. Over 110 committee members and expert representatives from nearly 50 enterprises and research institutes—including Zhongli Talesun, Poly Xinxin, Trina Solar, JA Solar, Yingli Group, Dalian Liancheng, Zhongneng Silicon Industry, Qixing Huachuang, Zhonglai Photovoltaic, LONGi Silicon Materials, LDK Solar, Jinko Solar, Hanergy, Luoyang Zhongsi, Institute 48, Tianwei New Energy, Semilab, and Hebei University—participated in the event.
For more than four decades since its establishment, SEMI has been dedicated to developing international standards, successfully establishing platforms for discussing industry‑wide technical standards in sectors such as semiconductors, flat‑panel displays, LEDs, photovoltaics, MEMS, and nanotechnology, thereby significantly enhancing the efficiency of technological exchange within the industry. To date, SEMI has published a total of 965 standards, including 75 issued by its Photovoltaic Technology Committee. Since its founding in December 2011, the SEMI China Photovoltaic Standards Committee has convened 18 committee meetings over the past five years and more, releasing 19 SEMI‑approved international industry standards, with an additional 17 standards currently under development. As a result, the SEMI China Photovoltaic Standards Committee has become one of the largest and most active standards committees worldwide.
At this meeting, six new standard proposals were carefully reviewed and thoroughly discussed, resulting in the approval of two proposals for formal adoption. In addition, the committee rigorously examined and approved six draft standards to proceed to the global voting stage, opening them up for public comment from technical experts worldwide. Finally, the core committee tentatively determined the schedule for future SEMI meetings, as well as the date and venue for the 2017 spring conference.
Following the meeting, members of SEMI’s Core Committee and industry experts visited Talesun for on-site guidance. Talesun leadership briefed the experts on the company’s recent development and its achievements in technological innovation, and then escorted them on a tour of Talesun New Product Exhibition Center, the Internet Plus Photovoltaic Operations and Maintenance Cloud Center, the Key Photovoltaic Laboratory, and the production workshops. The experts expressed their appreciation for Talesun large-scale manufacturing base and its cutting-edge research capabilities.
Zhou Jianxin, President of Zhongli Talesun, stated: “The continuous growth of the SEMI China Photovoltaic Standards Committee has laid a solid technological foundation for China’s transition from a major photovoltaic manufacturing country to a global leader in this field. As a member of the working group, Zhongli Talesun has consistently maintained close communication with the committee’s technical experts. Moving forward, Zhongli Talesun will take the lead in developing more standards, further reducing manufacturing costs, driving technological innovation, enhancing product reliability, boosting productivity, and strengthening our competitive edge.”
