This marks another significant milestone for Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaics. According to SOLEOL, after nearly two years of evaluating leading global PV manufacturers, they chose the solar modules best suited to their needs; SOLEOL’s final decision underscores the strength and reliability of Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaics. Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic announced that Switzerland’s SOLEOL has selected its high‑quality, lightweight solar modules to supply photovoltaic panels for the largest rooftop solar power plant in Onnens‑Bonvillars, Switzerland. This marks another significant milestone for Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic. According to SOLEOL, after nearly two years of evaluating leading global PV manufacturers, they chose the solar modules best suited to their needs; SOLEOL’s decision underscores Zhongli Talesun strength and expertise. Louis Guillet, Director of SOLEOL, stated: “Currently, only four PV manufacturers worldwide can provide these high‑quality, lightweight modules, and Zhongli Talesun is one of them. The newly built rooftop solar installation in Switzerland has a total capacity of 8.3 MW, capable of supplying green energy to 2,300 Swiss villas.”
In an interview with local television, Mr. Louis Guillet highlighted the challenges facing the project: “We wanted solar photovoltaic panels that were lightweight enough to meet the technical requirements of rooftop installations, while also being able to withstand hail impacts. The lightweight modules from Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic, the Feather TP660M-275W, happen to possess these very qualities, offering an ideal solution.”
The key advantage of Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic’s lightweight solar modules is that they generate 1.3% more electricity compared to conventional solar panels. Additionally, they weigh 26% less than standard modules—approximately 14 kg versus 18.5 kg. Mr. Sheng Hao, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic, stated: “Contributing to this project is of great importance to us; this is just the beginning. We are committed to helping the solar photovoltaic industries in Switzerland and France continue to advance, and we are confident that we can make a meaningful contribution to the sector’s growth.”
The total area of this Swiss rooftop photovoltaic project is 55,000 square meters, with 31,000 solar photovoltaic modules installed. Based on the standard construction schedule, the project is expected to be completed by the end of October.
