On November 1, 2017, the grand awards ceremony for the 2017 “Solar Energy Cup” CREC Annual Photovoltaic Industry Awards—jointly initiated by Solarbe PV Network, the Wuxi CREC Organizing Committee, and the Wuxi New Energy Chamber of Commerce—was held with great fanfare in Wuxi.
Wang Jinjian, Vice Mayor of the Wuxi Municipal People’s Government; Mi Junchu, Deputy Secretary-General of the Wuxi Municipal People’s Government; Jin Meng’an, Vice President of the Wuxi Council for the Promotion of International Trade; Xu Ruilin, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Photovoltaic Industry Association; Shi Xinchun, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Renewable Energy Industry Association; Zhang Yong, Chairman of the China Photovoltaic Agriculture Working Committee; and Li Heyan, General Manager of Sobi PV Network, among other dignitaries, attended the awards ceremony. Since its inception, the “Photon Energy Cup” Awards Ceremony has been dedicated to reviewing the latest technologies, cutting-edge innovations, reputable companies, and outstanding manufacturing facilities across the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the photovoltaic industry over the past year, while identifying and recognizing exemplary enterprises and industry leaders.
The 2017 “Solar Awards” program was designed to highlight, against the backdrop of a decade of technological, market, product, and process advancements in China’s photovoltaic industry, the sector’s most outstanding technical achievements, exemplary corporate performances, top-performing teams, the ten leading industry executives, and the companies and leaders who have made exceptional contributions. This awards ceremony drew active participation from hundreds of prominent players across China’s PV landscape, aiming to establish industry benchmarks and foster the sector’s healthy, rational development by comprehensively recognizing and summarizing innovative technologies, cutting-edge products, and groundbreaking business models throughout the entire PV value chain.
