On June 1, 2019, on the eve of the 13th International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference (2019 SNEC), Wang Baixing, Chairman of Zhongli Group, traveled to the company’s Thai plant to provide on-site guidance for the ongoing technological upgrades and capacity expansion. Accompanied by local management, the delegation first visited the Phase I cell production workshop. The Thai cell factory currently operates a 1 GW monocrystalline–polycrystalline line, which is slated for full conversion to high-efficiency PERC monocrystalline capacity. The chairman conducted a thorough inspection of the workshop’s new layout, inquired about the advanced nature of the products and equipment, and reviewed progress in managing the upgrade process, commending the Thai team’s dedicated efforts.

On June 1, 2019, on the eve of the 13th International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference (2019 SNEC), Wang Baixing, Chairman of Zhongli Group, traveled to the company’s Thai manufacturing facility to provide on-site guidance for the ongoing technological upgrades and capacity expansion projects.

Accompanied by on-site management, the chairman and his delegation first visited the Phase I battery workshop. The Thai battery plant currently operates a 1 GW monocrystalline–polycrystalline production line, which will be fully converted to high-efficiency PERC monocrystalline capacity. The chairman conducted a thorough inspection of the workshop’s new layout, inquired about the advanced features of the products and equipment, and reviewed progress in the transformation project. He commended the Thai team’s dedicated efforts and underscored the strategic significance of the company’s Industry 4.0 roadmap. He urged everyone to build on the current momentum, steadily and swiftly achieve the upgrade and transformation goals for Phase I, and promptly bring the high‑efficiency battery plant to full production.

Subsequently, the chairman visited the module assembly workshop, where the upgrade and retrofit project for large‑size silicon wafers and half‑cell high‑efficiency modules is about to enter its final sprint. At the site, the chairman engaged in continuous discussions with on‑site managers, expressing high expectations for this technological upgrade and commending the workshop’s 5S management system and the establishment of a clean‑room production environment. This renovation of the module assembly line aims to meet the growing demand for ultra‑high‑efficiency modules (400 W+) through equipment and automated line upgrades, while also boosting annual capacity by an additional 300 MW.

Leaving the component workshop, the chairman led the team to the factory site earmarked during the early planning phase for on‑site inspection and measurement. He then meticulously sketched out the blueprint for the second‑phase expansion of Talesun Thai plant, detailing each element with precision on the facility layout plan. The second‑phase expansion is expected to be completed by the end of 2019, at which point the Thai plant’s ultra‑high‑efficiency product capacity will reach 1.5 GW. Current production capacity at the Thai facility already has orders scheduled through the first quarter of 2020.

As a leading innovator in the industry and the market, Talesun Photovoltaic is committed to helping customers achieve high‑quality products while meeting their target levelized cost of electricity (LCOE). The recent upgrade of equipment and automated production lines, along with the Phase II expansion, has not only further enhanced production efficiency and product quality and increased capacity for high‑efficiency modules, but will also strengthen Talesun Photovoltaic’s competitiveness in key international markets such as Europe, the United States, Japan, and Australia.
