Recently, a floating solar photovoltaic project developed by D3Energy and located at Duke Energy’s Hines Complex in Florida, USA, has officially been connected to the grid and begun generating electricity. The 1 MW facility utilizes 1,872 high-performance bifacial modules from Talesun Photovoltaic. Once operational, the plant will supply clean energy to more than 100 local households. According to reports, this floating PV system features excellent installation flatness and unobstructed exposure, delivering high-generation efficiency while effectively conserving land resources. Additionally, the cooling effect of the water body helps enhance module performance; depending on the installation location and water depth, efficiency gains of 5–10% are achievable.
