Recently, Suzhou Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. officially announced that its newly developed next‑generation core product—the MBB monocrystalline and polycrystalline module—has, following successful compliance with the TVSUDIEC new‑standard testing in November, also passed the TVRhIEC new‑standard tests. With this achievement, MBB modules have now undergone professional evaluations by two leading authorities, thoroughly validating their superior quality and performance and enabling them to offer customers safer, more reliable products. In recent years, as photovoltaic renewable energy has grown rapidly and found increasingly broad applications, demands for PV product quality have continued to rise, while certification standards have likewise become more stringent.
Recently, Suzhou Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. officially announced that its newly developed, next‑generation core product—the MBB monocrystalline and polycrystalline module—has, in addition to passing TÜV SÜD’s IEC‑compliant testing in November, also successfully obtained certification under the new TÜV Rheinland IEC standards. With this achievement, MBB modules have now undergone rigorous professional testing by two leading authorities, thoroughly validating their superior quality and performance and ensuring that they deliver safer, more reliable solutions for customers.

In recent years, as photovoltaic (PV) renewable energy has grown rapidly and found increasingly broad applications, demands for PV product quality have continued to rise, placing higher requirements on product certification standards. Ensuring the long-term reliability and power output of PV systems under outdoor operating conditions has remained a key challenge for industry professionals. As early as 2016, the International Electrotechnical Commission officially released revised editions of IEC 61215 and IEC 61730—standards governing the performance and safety of PV modules—marking the introduction of stricter准入 thresholds at the testing and certification stage. By the end of 2019, certification bodies had ceased accepting tests conducted under the old standards, signaling a full transition to the new‑standard certification process.
Dr. Ni Zhichun, Vice President of Talesun Photovoltaic, stated: “We are delighted to once again witness Talesun Photovoltaic’s MBB monocrystalline and polycrystalline modules successfully obtaining dual certification under the new standards from two independent bodies. While compliance with these standard tests serves merely as an entry threshold for the market, the implementation of the new standards will further tighten that threshold. We, for our part, remain confident in our technology and have already set product quality requirements that exceed the new benchmarks; our internal standards are rigorously aligned with multiple‑fold IEC‑compliant controls. The success of this testing was therefore entirely foreseeable. We believe that securing dual certification from both agencies will enhance the competitiveness of our products in the marketplace.”
As Talesun next‑generation flagship product, the MBB module delivers outstanding reliability and superior outdoor power generation performance. Following TC600 and DH3000 aging tests, its power loss remains below 5%, significantly lower than industry standards; meanwhile, its outdoor energy yield exceeds that of conventional modules by approximately 3.8% on average. These exceptional attributes have earned widespread acclaim from customers, not only meeting market demand for high‑power output but also generating additional value for end users.
