On the evening of August 17, the “Ode to the Sun: Xiu Lake Summer Night” concert and poetry reading took place. The event aimed to convey positive energy in the photovoltaic sector through the recitation of classic works, celebrating the spirit of photovoltaics in the new era. Among the performances, Talesun Photovoltaic President Dong Shuguang recited “Man Jiang Hong: Starry Sky,” a poem penned by Dr. Qu Xiaohua of Canadian Solar, its words resounding with conviction and its lines imbued with unwavering strength, capturing the essence of the journey along the path of photovoltaics.

The event aimed to convey the positive energy of photovoltaics through the recitation of timeless classics, celebrating the spirit of the new era in solar power. Among the performances, Dong Shuguang, President of Talesun Photovoltaic, recited “Manjianghong: Starry Sky,” a poem penned by Dr. Qu Xiaohua of Canadian Solar. On August 18–19, the “2022 China Photovoltaic Green Supply Chain Conference” was held with great success in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. Dong Shuguang, President of Suzhou Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Talesun Photovoltaic”), was invited to attend the conference and took part in a roundtable discussion.
On the afternoon of August 18, during the roundtable session of the 2022 China Photovoltaic Green Supply Chain Conference, panelists discussed “Building a New‑Type Photovoltaic Supply Chain.” At the event, Dong Shuguang, President of Talesun Photovoltaic, shared his views on the current state of the PV industry, emphasizing that over the past two years, one of the sector’s most significant challenges has been supply‑chain security—encompassing not only reliable supply but also price stability and quality assurance. He noted that profit margins in the silicon‑material segment are severely out of sync with those in other stages of the value chain, which to some extent undermines the industry’s healthy development. In addition to the responsibilities of leading companies, Dong Shuguang stressed that industry media and trade associations should play an active role, while specialized research institutions ought to provide more accurate, forward‑looking forecasts—covering both market demand and industrialization technologies—to address supply‑demand imbalances arising from investment cycles and timing mismatches. Dong Shuguang argued that the photovoltaic industry is an energy sector with pronounced manufacturing characteristics, and its sound development is a shared responsibility of all stakeholders. He called for collective efforts to usher in the TW era as soon as possible.
Taking advantage of the 2022 China Photovoltaic Green Supply Chain Conference, the “Zhongju Xiangyang Cup” morning‑run friendly race, organized by the event’s hosts, was held as scheduled on the morning of August 19 at the picturesque Xiuhu Park in Jiaxing.
As the first rays of dawn pierce the morning mist, rippling with water, the “Zhongju Xiangyang Cup” morning‑run friendship race officially gets underway. The course spans 3.5 kilometers, and all registered participants don the team’s uniform athletic gear. Dong Shuguang, President of Talesun Photovoltaic, also took part in the run, expressing his hope to advance new‑energy development while striving to create a better quality of life, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and running with confidence, strength, and vitality. He further aspires to embody the spirit of the marathon—staying steadfast in his convictions, excelling in the new‑energy sector, and actively shouldering social responsibility.
In 2022, China’s domestic renewable energy market reached a new milestone, while the photovoltaic industry chain faced multiple challenges, placing new demands on PV manufacturers.
