Japan’s Sanso Corporation recently announced that its 21.6 MW photovoltaic project in Aki-Takada City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is currently under construction. The project covers approximately 107,536 square meters and is expected to require a total investment of 8.5 billion Japanese yen.
Sansho Co., Ltd. is a renowned Japanese company with a storied history spanning 150 years. Originally engaged in the timber trade, the company later expanded into aircraft and ship leasing, and since 2013 has entered the photovoltaic power‑generation sector. To date, it has developed and operated PV power‑plant projects totaling over 650 MW.
This project primarily utilizes Zhongli Talesun BISTAR series monocrystalline modules, with individual module power reaching up to 410 W. Thanks to a unique half-cell, multi-busbar cell design, the modules not only deliver higher power output but also significantly reduce power losses caused by hidden cracks and shading, thereby effectively boosting the overall energy generation of the photovoltaic plant.

Japan Sansho Co., Ltd. stated: This decision to partner with Zhongli Talesun was based on Talesun many years of proven performance in module projects in Japan, and was made after comprehensive consideration and evaluation across product performance, service quality, and other key factors.
Since 2015, Talesun Photovoltaic has been active in the Japanese market, engaging in power‑plant development and module sales. The company currently maintains branch offices in Tokyo and Fukuoka, supported by dedicated teams specializing in sales, engineering, and after‑sales service.
Currently, Talesun develops approximately 100 MW of solar power plants annually in Japan and sells about 100 MW of solar modules, with cumulative annual participation in photovoltaic project development exceeding 200 MW.
Throughout the entire power‑plant construction process, the Zhongli Talesun team provided meticulous and attentive services—covering site surveys, module design and selection, as well as on‑site installation and construction—demonstrating the team’s reliability and professionalism and earning unanimous praise from the client.
The Aki-Takada Power Station is expected to be fully connected to the grid and in operation by April 2021.
