Talesun Photovoltaic’s R&D team recently announced that the average efficiency of its new-generation PERC product (PERC 2.0) in mass-production batches has reached 22.86%, with a peak cell efficiency of 23.15%. The PERC 2.0 product builds upon conventional PERC technology, incorporating Talesun proprietary core technologies. By enhancing passivation performance and optimizing doping techniques, it significantly reduces the J0 current; meanwhile, through innovations such as an optimized front‑side textured surface and refined back‑surface and electrode designs, it improves optical performance. Leveraging theoretical simulations and extensive experimentation, the project’s R&D team has achieved a breakthrough in cell conversion efficiency. Average efficiency is expected to reach… by the end of this year.

The PERC 2.0 product builds upon the conventional PERC process by integrating Talesun proprietary core technologies. By enhancing passivation performance and optimizing doping techniques, it significantly reduces the J0 current; meanwhile, advanced front‑side textured structures and optimized back‑surface and electrode designs improve optical efficiency. Through theoretical simulations and extensive experimentation, the project team has achieved a breakthrough in cell conversion efficiency. By year‑end, average efficiency is expected to exceed 23%, with plans to push toward an even higher target of over 24%.
