French renewable energy giant Neoen is one of the few publicly listed companies in Europe that focuses exclusively on renewables. As France’s leading independent renewable energy producer, the company had 5.6 GW of installed renewable capacity as of June 30, 2022, and expects to reach a target of 10 GW by 2025.

In 2022, soaring electricity prices across Europe prompted EU member states grappling with an energy crisis to accelerate their energy transition and independence initiatives. According to a report released by the European Solar Association, in 2021, photovoltaic capacity installations increased quarter-on-quarter in 25 of the EU’s 27 member states, with total new PV capacity reaching 25.9 GW—breaking the decade-old record for annual installations. By the end of 2021, Europe’s cumulative PV installed capacity stood at 164.9 GW. Meanwhile, SolarPower Europe’s “European Photovoltaic Market Outlook 2021–2025” projects that by 2030, the EU’s total PV capacity will reach 672 GW, implying an average annual addition of 56.3 GW through 2030.

The accelerating growth of demand in the European market has presented significant opportunities for Chinese photovoltaic companies. From 2021 through the first half of 2022, Talesun Photovoltaic shipped 805 MW in Europe, with France accounting for 349.5 MW of that total.

During the development of its overseas solar power plants, Talesun Photovoltaic adheres to local environmental conditions, tailoring design solutions to suit each site. Grounded in local customs and traditions and respectful of cultural heritage, the company designs photovoltaic projects that align with regional characteristics and promote sustainable development. To date, Talesun Photovoltaic has successfully developed numerous landmark solar‑energy projects across Europe, spanning countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Switzerland.

Mr. Xing Yabin, Senior Vice President of Talesun Photovoltaic, stated: “The strategic partnership established between Talesun Photovoltaic and Neoen is the result of a powerful synergy, leveraging each party’s market competitiveness and technological strengths in the photovoltaic sector. We are deeply honored to enter into this strategic collaboration with Neoen, a global leader in the renewable energy industry, and to jointly develop high‑quality solar power projects through our efficient and reliable photovoltaic modules. Moving forward, Talesun Photovoltaic will focus on expanding into the European market, delivering even higher‑quality, more efficient PV solutions, and contributing to the growth of renewable energy in Europe.”
