From April 25 to 26, the two-day The Solar Show Africa concluded at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. At this exhibition, Talesun Photovoltaic joined forces with its South African partner ARTsolar to present a joint booth, B178. The Solar Show Africa is currently one of South Africa’s largest and most influential events in the solar energy sector, spanning over 22,000 square meters and attracting more than 350 exhibiting companies, with participants including government agencies, as well as representatives from the solar and energy storage industries.
From April 25 to 26, the two-day Solar Show Africa concluded at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. At this event, Talesun Photovoltaic joined forces with its South African partner, ARTsolar, to showcase their offerings at booth B178.
The Solar Show Africa is currently one of the largest and most influential solar‑energy events in South Africa. With an exhibition space exceeding 22,000 square meters, it hosts more than 350 exhibitors, including government agencies, solar and energy‑storage suppliers, technology firms, and financial institutions, primarily from the United States, China, India, Israel, Thailand, South Korea, Germany, and other countries.
This joint exhibition by Talesun Photovoltaic and ARTsolar has further advanced the strategic cooperation between the two companies. Earlier, the 325 MW photovoltaic module manufacturing facility jointly built by Talesun Photovoltaic and ARTsolar was commissioned on October 28, 2022. On March 28, 2023, the Chairman of ARTsolar, accompanied by his team, visited Talesun Photovoltaic’s Changshu base and expressed high praise for the quality of Talesun products and its technical services.
South Africa boasts abundant solar resources and is known as the “Land of the Sun.” The average daily solar irradiance ranges from 4.5 to 6.5 kWh/m². 2 Between them, the average daily solar irradiance is nearly 40% higher than in Europe, making South Africa one of the countries with the greatest potential for solar power generation worldwide. In recent years, as local energy demand has grown and existing power infrastructure has aged, electricity supply shortages have become increasingly acute. To address this challenge, the South African government has been actively promoting the development of renewable energy, with solar power at its core.
