On November 8, 2023, a delegation including Dr. Zhu Junjie, Senior Researcher at Norway’s Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), along with Anders Besvold Hansen, CEO of IsolaSolar, R&D Director Jargen Young, and Technical Manager Hans Magnus Dahlsrud, paid a visit to Suzhou Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Qian Hongqiang, Talesun Photovoltaic’s R&D Director, accompanied the group for an exchange and discussion. Talesun Photovoltaic and the Norwegian delegation are jointly undertaking a bilateral innovation cooperation project under the Jiangsu Provincial Government. This visit by the Norwegian side marks the first in-person technical exchange since the easing of pandemic restrictions.

Talesun Photovoltaic and the Norwegian delegation jointly undertook a bilateral innovation project under the Jiangsu Provincial Government’s intergovernmental cooperation framework. This visit by the Norwegian side marked the first in-person technical exchange since the easing of pandemic restrictions. During the meeting, both parties engaged in an in-depth discussion and shared insights on the progress of their collaborative efforts, breakthroughs in technological innovation, and key demonstration applications. They also presented a range of structural design concepts for building‑integrated solar systems tailored to façades and rooftops, and showcased a pilot bifacial‑module power plant that, in Norway’s snowy climate, incorporates snow‑removal functionality to boost overall energy generation. Finally, the two sides exchanged views on plans for more advanced, in‑depth cooperation in technological innovation going forward.
This visit and exchange by the Norwegian delegation has played a crucial role in advancing future cooperation between the two sides on innovative technologies for high‑efficiency, low‑cost photovoltaic products. Moving forward, both parties will expand and deepen bilateral and multilateral international scientific and technological collaboration in this field, contributing to the global energy transition.
