Recently, Zhongli Talesun launched a 1500V photovoltaic module that has not only passed TÜV Rheinland’s rigorous product certification tests but also its PID‑resistance testing, demonstrating outstanding PID‑mitigation performance. Recently, Zhongli Talesun launched a 1500V photovoltaic module that has not only passed TÜV Rheinland’s rigorous product certification tests but also its PID‑resistance testing, demonstrating outstanding PID‑mitigation performance. Under conditions of 85°C, 85% RH, and −1500V, the module exhibits a power degradation of less than 1% after a 96‑hour PID test. Developed in line with the latest technological trends in photovoltaic systems, this module effectively reduces the levelized cost of electricity and boosts energy generation.
Compared with conventional 1,000 V modules, the 1,500 V series can increase the number of modules per string from the typical 22–25 at 1,000 V to 33–37, thereby reducing the overall number of strings in a solar plant, lowering cable requirements, and cutting cable losses by more than 0.2%, which in turn reduces the levelized cost of electricity. At the same time, the higher input and output voltage levels reduce line losses on both the AC and DC sides as well as transformer low-voltage winding losses, potentially boosting system efficiency by over 1.5% and increasing power generation. “As 1,500 V modules enter the photovoltaic market, module reliability has become a top priority for every customer,” said Chen Jie, the company’s vice president. “Our newly launched module successfully passed rigorous anti-PID degradation testing under 1,500 V conditions and obtained TÜV certification, ensuring product quality and earning favorable feedback from our customers.”
