Recently, following a selection process organized by the relevant departments of Changshu City and Suzhou City, Dr. Wei Qingzhu of Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. was awarded the titles of “Outstanding Professional and Technical Worker of Changshu City for the 2014–2015 Period” and “Outstanding Engineer in Technological Innovation under the ‘Uphold Ideals, Compete in Contributions’ Initiative” at the city level in Suzhou.
Dr. Wei Qingzhu has been recognized as an “Outstanding Professional and Technical Worker of Changshu City” and a “Distinguished Engineer” in Suzhou’s “Promote Ideals, Compete in Contributions” initiative for technological innovation. This achievement not only sets a model example in actively implementing the national policy that encourages “mass entrepreneurship and innovation,” but also inspires more local enterprises to establish robust R&D institutions, cultivate highly skilled talent, and engage in vibrant scientific and technological exchanges and collaborations. By rallying the collective wisdom of all employees to participate in innovative practices and accelerating the pace of corporate transformation and upgrading, Dr. Wei has assumed a leading role and fostered a favorable environment.
Dr. Wei Qingzhu graduated from the Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and currently serves as the Director of Technology R&D at Zhongli Talesun, while also holding a position as a visiting professor at Changshu Institute of Technology. Dr. Wei has long been engaged in the development of high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells and related application products, as well as in managing production‑line technologies. He has been at the forefront of technological innovation in China’s photovoltaic industry, driving overall sector growth, setting technical directions, and, in certain areas, even surpassing international advanced standards. As project leader and technical director, he has spearheaded six provincial and municipal science‑and‑technology projects. In recent years, he has led his team in developing more than 20 new products, securing 10 invention patents. Additionally, he has published 14 high‑impact papers in academic journals at or above the provincial level and has received one Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Changshu City and two Third Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress from Suzhou City, providing critical technical support for the company’s continued development.
