Recently, the international patent application “A Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell (JP2013-229566)” filed by Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. has been examined and granted by the Japan Patent Office. This marks the company’s first entry into other countries via the Paris Convention since it formally launched its global intellectual property strategy.
As early as June 2012, after a prominent Japanese company announced that it had obtained a patent for a “three‑busbar electrode structure,” Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic—then in the initial stages of market expansion in Japan—sharply recognized that this patent posed a potential litigation risk to manufacturers widely adopting three‑busbar electrodes. Following careful deliberation and analysis by its senior management, Zhongli Talesun subsequently identified the need to develop four‑busbar solar modules. Through the concerted efforts of its R&D team, a high‑efficiency monocrystalline and polycrystalline four‑main‑busbar module series was successfully brought to fruition in early 2013. The recent grant of this Japanese patent marks another significant milestone in the company’s technological innovation and intellectual property protection endeavors. This invention pertains to a breakage‑resistant three‑busbar and four‑busbar crystalline silicon solar cell, providing crucial IP safeguards for the company’s overseas market strategy and yielding substantial achievements in the field of intellectual property protection. To date, the company has filed more than 180 patent applications, including six PCT international patents and 76 domestic invention patents; nearly one hundred patents have been granted, among which 16 are inventions. In 2013, the company was recognized as an outstanding enterprise in intellectual property management, and in October 2015, it launched a project to implement the “Enterprise Intellectual Property Management Standard,” effectively elevating its overall IP management capabilities.
