Talesun Photovoltaic recently announced that it has signed an agreement with Competitive Power Ventures (CPV), a leading North American power project developer and asset management company, to supply 127 MW of photovoltaic modules for the Maple Hill Solar Project located in Pennsylvania.

Located in a former abandoned mining area in Pennsylvania, the project will deploy 229,600 high‑power bifacial modules, each rated at over 530 W, supplied by Talesun Photovoltaic. Commercial operation is scheduled to commence in May 2022. During construction, the project is expected to create more than 250 local jobs, and once completed, it will generate enough clean energy annually to power over 18,000 households. The implementation of this 127 MW solar‑plus‑storage project will replace aging conventional generation facilities, reducing annual carbon dioxide emissions in Pennsylvania by approximately 100,000 metric tons.

CPV Executive Vice President Sean Finnerty said, “We look forward to this collaboration with Talesun Photovoltaic in the U.S. market. With its cutting-edge product technology and robust quality assurance, Talesun Photovoltaic is an ideal partner for jointly developing this mining‑site redevelopment project. Our new‑energy project portfolio continues to expand, encompassing both wind and solar power, and we anticipate even more partnerships in the future.”

Commenting on this collaboration, Xing Yabin, General Manager of Talesun PV’s North American operations, stated: “We are honored to partner with CPV to jointly develop a 127 MW photovoltaic power plant on a decommissioned mining site. This not only underscores the recognition of Talesun PV’s product quality and service expertise but also helps us accelerate project development and component sales in the U.S. and other international markets. Moreover, it marks another significant step forward in our journey toward building a low‑carbon, sustainable energy future. With surging order demand in the U.S. market, we have successfully completed the expansion of our Thai manufacturing facility to a 2.2 GW module production capacity this year. Looking ahead, we hope to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with all stakeholders, leverage Talesun PV’s strengths in products and services, deepen our partnerships in the new energy sector, and achieve mutual benefit and win‑win outcomes.”

Talesun Photovoltaic will showcase its latest high-efficiency solar modules at the Solar PV Expo, held in Shanghai from June 3 to 5. Our booth number is E1-530. We warmly welcome you to visit and offer your guidance.
