Recently, Talesun Photovoltaic and the MEM Group signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement. Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly build a solar photovoltaic module production line in Turkey with an annual capacity of 1 GW. Recently, Talesun Photovoltaic and the MEM Group signed a Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement. Under the agreement, the two parties will jointly build a solar photovoltaic module production line in Turkey with an annual capacity of 1 GW. Guided by their strategic development needs, Talesun Photovoltaic and the MEM Group will leverage Talesun strengths in R&D, manufacturing, quality management, sales networks, and supply-chain integration to engage in multifaceted collaboration, jointly expand into overseas markets, and achieve complementary advantages for mutual benefit and win‑win outcomes.
Founded in 1993, the MEM Group is a global leader in mechanical, manufacturing, and electrical services. Ahmet Teyfik Paksu, Vice President of the MEM Group, stated: “Under the agreement, the two parties will build a component‑manufacturing line in Kahramanmaraş Province, located in central-southern Turkey. The facility will cover an area of 40,000 square meters and aims to achieve an annual production capacity of nearly 1 GW by the second quarter of 2023. The plant’s layout, equipment, and raw materials will be supported by Talesun Photovoltaic.”
Through this collaboration with Talesun Photovoltaic, the company will be better positioned to deepen its engagement in the Turkish PV market, fully leverage MEM Group’s established strengths in the industrial sector and Talesun Photovoltaic’s global sales network, optimize and expand its overseas footprint, and ultimately open up key target markets such as the United States and Europe.
Pınar Eser, Head of Sales for Talesun Photovoltaic in Europe, stated: “This strategic cooperation agreement underscores Talesun Photovoltaic’s concrete commitment and determination to strengthen international collaboration. With a 20% share of the Turkish photovoltaic market, Talesun has recently commissioned a new module production line that will officially begin operations in 2023. By 2024, we anticipate completing the introduction of next-generation TOPCon technology into our production lines and achieving stable mass production, while continuously refining our designs and manufacturing processes to meet the diverse needs of our customers.”
