The EU PVSEC European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition was held in Marseille, France, from September 9 to 13, 2019. As an official partner of the EU PVSEC, Talesun Photovoltaic sent Drs. Ni Zhichun, Wei Qingzhu, and Zhang Shude to attend the event. They engaged in in-depth discussions with leading industry experts on PERC high-efficiency cell technology, while also showcasing Talesun latest R&D achievements, which garnered widespread attention and high praise from professionals in the field.

The 36th European Solar Energy Conference

The conference has been successfully held for 35 consecutive editions. At this year’s event, the organizers unveiled nearly 900 premier international presentations, enabling all attendees, participating companies, and the entire industry to gain a deeper understanding of the latest research advances in the photovoltaic solar energy sector.

Talesun research findings were showcased at EU PVSEC.

Talesun Photovoltaic showcased its latest research findings at the conference, titled “Application of a Silicon Oxide–Silicon Nitride Composite Anti-Reflection Layer in Black-Silicon PERC Solar Cells.” The study demonstrates that, when applied to wet‑process black silicon, this SiOx–SiNy composite anti‑reflection layer can further reduce reflectance in the short‑wavelength range, enhance spectral response in that region, and boost short‑circuit current density and photoelectric conversion efficiency. Moreover, this technology has been successfully integrated into Talesun next‑generation PERC (PERC 2.0) production line, with average efficiencies reaching 22.86% in mass‑production batches and peak cell efficiencies up to 23.15%. By year‑end, average efficiency is expected to exceed 23%, paving the way toward the goal of surpassing 24%. Looking ahead, modules incorporating this PERC cell technology will deliver significantly higher power output while enhancing market competitiveness.

At present, Talesun Photovoltaic has begun deploying its distributed‑generation business globally, primarily undertaking project development and EPC services. Distributed projects—especially rooftop commercial and industrial installations—are constrained by available roof space; therefore, in addition to stringent requirements for system‑integration design, high‑efficiency modules can help mitigate the capacity limits imposed by limited area. Through continuous innovation in product R&D, particularly in solar cell and module technologies, Talesun has not only significantly reduced the levelized cost of electricity but also delivered superior system solutions, creating a strong competitive edge for future growth. Moving forward, Talesun will further increase investment in R&D, consistently enhance product quality, and provide customers with higher‑quality products and comprehensive turnkey solutions.
