Recently, following enterprise applications, preliminary reviews by the town (district) science and technology associations, acceptance inspections by the municipal science and technology association, expert evaluations, and final approval by the Innovation Action Coordination Group, the R&D team of Zhongli Talesun Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. — responsible for the development and industrialization of N-type bifacial solar cells and double-glass modules — was recognized as one of the Top Ten Science and Technology Innovation Teams under the Changshu City Science and Technology Personnel Innovation Action. The Changshu City Science and Technology Personnel Innovation Action is a joint initiative jointly organized by the Changshu Municipal Science and Technology Association, the Talent Office, the Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and the Federation of Industry and Commerce. Its objectives are to take deepening the work of enterprise-based science and technology associations as the main thread, promote enterprise transformation and upgrading, build a “home” for science and technology personnel, launch community‑based innovation campaigns, and cultivate scientific and technological professionals with strong technical development capabilities.

The Changshu City Science and Technology Personnel Innovation Action is jointly organized and implemented by four departments: the Changshu Municipal Science and Technology Association, the Talent Office, the Commission of Economy and Information Technology, and the Federation of Industry and Commerce. Its objectives are to take deepening the work of enterprise science and technology associations as the main thread, promote enterprise transformation and upgrading, build a home for science and technology personnel, launch the “Home‑Building and Innovation‑Creating” initiative, cultivate scientific and technological professionals with strong R&D capabilities, enhance the scientific literacy of enterprise employees, and drive technological progress and independent innovation across enterprises.
In recent years, the company established its Enterprise Science and Technology Association in 2014 and the “Home for Scientific and Technical Personnel” in 2015. Building on these foundations, the association has invested over RMB 600 million in research and development projects, yielding substantial results: more than 230 patent applications have been filed, with 24 invention patents, over 70 utility‑model patents, and one Japanese patent now granted; additionally, five external invention patents have been acquired, and 13 new products have been recognized as “High‑Tech Products” by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. In terms of talent recruitment, ZhongliTalesun has attracted numerous leading innovators from both domestic and international photovoltaic industries, assembling a robust R&D and management team centered around Dr. Ni Zhichun, a Suzhou Double Innovation Leading Talent. Currently, ZhongliTalesun employs 198 R&D personnel, including four doctoral degree holders, organized into three specialized teams focusing on photovoltaic cells, modules, and systems.
Dr. Ni Zhichun, Vice President of Technology at Zhongli Talesun and Vice Chairman of the company’s Science and Technology Association, stated: “Zhongli Talesun Science and Technology Association has recognized, from a strategic perspective, the profound significance of launching the ‘Building a Home through Collective Innovation’ initiative and is diligently implementing it in a practical and effective manner. The Association will focus on research areas such as high‑cost‑performance battery materials, high‑efficiency solar cells, high‑efficiency and highly reliable modules, photovoltaic power generation and system integration, and next‑generation conceptual products. By mobilizing its members, it will tackle critical and common foundational technical challenges in the PV industry and drive the R&D of novel structures and innovative concepts, thereby securing technological leadership. At the same time, the Association will establish a photovoltaic technology innovation platform—comprising a big‑data‑driven intelligent operation and maintenance system and the Wannong Photovoltaic Innovation Base—to attract and cultivate cutting‑edge talent, foster proprietary intellectual property, and ensure that Zhongli Talesun not only maintains a leading position domestically in cell and module manufacturing and EPC project construction but also achieves domestic excellence in original, breakthrough technologies.”
